We'll provide a little change of pace today, as we see some of the sights of the city, and have a weather adventure.  After the morning session, the team headed for the area of Piata Unirii, which is the heart of of Bucharest, both geographically and in terms of the focus.  The guys had a good time riding the Metro (subway) as we tried to figure out exactly how to take a new route.  On one of the runs the train stopped and the lights went out--The team didn't get too concerned as the lights came back on and the train began to move again in a few seconds.  Time at Unirii was spent shopping for gifts and buying two soccer balls to use in our activities.  Time struck out on his own for a couple of hours to explore some of the backstreets of Bucharest.

Who says this team is leading an easy life?  In the afternoon the group helped with some clean-up and moving at Viilor house, the  residence of the Kazee family.  Rob is the District Superintendent for the Church of the Nazarene in Romania, and lives at Viilor with his wife Jane and their daughters Abby and Lillie. The project took about two hours, with two van loads of "stuff" being moved out.

For people who remember the old look of the Unirea store, remodeling is providing a drastically different appearance.

Today was going to be our first day of focus on the evening sessions that we conduct.  These sessions attract the largest crowds, but are designed especially for older teens and young adults.  There are some pretty competitive games in these sessions.  Tonight we had a bit of an adventure.  Just as we were starting, as cold front began moving across the city.  Combined with today's high of 102 degrees, the cold front produced a thunder storm and torrential downpour.  The old man, Brad, hitched a ride home with Pastor Daniel and Marta in the Dacia automobile, but the young guys and their friends took the brunt of the rain storm right in the "kisser".  They were drenched, but had fun.
