Today was great on the courts.  We had our final night session with the older kids and we feel like hearts are really being softened.  We are excited for the upcoming party, and are expecting a good turnout (even from the older crowd).  We distributed t-shirts and we feel that has contributed to the change.  We had about a hundred or so come out this evening and we had a ton of activities going on everywhere you looked.  The first team laid a great foundation for us, and we can see that in the turnout and in their attitudes

Some the 80+ kids at VBS.

Saying good-bye may be one of the hardest things to do on a trip like this.  Penny, April, and Jann can vouch for that, as they had to say bye to the people in the hospital and the kids in Gaiseni.  However, the people will always have a place in their hearts!

Craft time!

More craft time!

Everywhere you look...more kids!

Doctor Steve Jann
"It has been and continues to be a tremendous privilege to be able to be with and serve the boys and girls, and men and women of Romania.  The Lord sends people to us and sends us to people in His sovereignty.  The team chemistry is great and the time is going by too quickly, I don't think I will be ready to leave when the time
comes.  We need your on going prayers each day."

Yours in Christ,
Doctor Steve
"Penny, April, and I went to the hospital for the last time today - saying good bye is a very hard thing-  On Thursday we handed out the blankets and the patients were so thankful.  They laughed, they cried, and they praised the Lord.  They all held those soft blankets close to their faces and cried Many of them had no other belongings except the blanket..

Today, Friday, we took them a small gift bag.  In it was a beanie baby, a picture of Our Lord, and some candy. Then we said good-bye; tears flowed from them and from us.  I praise the Lord that He gave me the opportunity to spend time with these gracious, wonderful  people.  I pray for Our Lord's blessing on each and everyone.

This was also the last day of VBS in Gaiseni - We sang, told the story of Jonah and gave each one of the children a stuffed animal and gift bag - The gift bag was made up of the school supplies given by our VBS kids in Auburn.  You would have thought we had given them the world.

On Thursday we had 72 children come and we prayed the salvation prayer with them - Each one accepted Jesus into their heart!!  God is good!  In His plan for me he led me to this wonderful country to minister and witness to some of the poorest people in Romania.

Thank you Jesus!"
