Notes from   Team 3

Due to the fact that Team 3 is experiencing formatting problems with their digital camera,
pictures will not be available....yet.

Today the men repaired some lighting, repaired a door, troubleshot computer equipment, defrosted the freezer, and repaired a couple of tables.

Transportation to Gaisin was not available today. It seems as though there are electrical problems with the van. The Kazees returned today from Sighisoara with Dorothy Tarrant who will be taking vacation at home in England for 2 weeks. She told me they received the children's underclothing, socks, and hospital items and wishes to express her gratitude to all who contributed.

"We had thirty one excited children today! The children's favorite song that we are teaching them is "This little light of mine" all three verses! The last verse we sing, "let it shine around Romania" they love that.  Prayer at the end of Bible story time is so special- all the children stand with closed eyes and hands folded. They repeat back as the prayer as the prayer is translated to them. Our story taught the children that God loves ALL people and God wants us to love and accept everyone just as God loves and accepts us! Romans 15:7 was there verse. Upstairs in the "game room" (which is only four walls and a floor) the children awaken with delight.

Today we sat in a circle and tossed a ball around the room- pretending it was a hot potato- so they had to move fast! They love duck-duck-goose. A special time was when I would have a child put one arm around my waist and then put their other hand in mine. I held them close as we moved about the floor, (slow dance if you will) but to the children it was a time of being loved, touched and comforted all at the same time. I did a lot of this. Simple things mean the most to these little ones who have nothing.

Today in my devotion I read the words to the song "make me a blessing". Whatever God has in store for us for today let us be a blessing to all those we meet. As it turned out for me the simple acts of holding God's children in my arms was a beautiful blessing to me."

"Today was our second day of VBS. Tomorrow we will have a VBS at both Bucharest and Gaisin. I have never received so many hugs and kisses in my life! The children are so thrilled to have us here! They are so thrilled to have something special. And it is thrilling to me to be able to be used by Lord."

"The team joined together in prayer before opening the front door and letting the children in for VBS.  Greetings with hugs and "high fives".  The team wants to show Jesus love to each one through a smile, pat on the head and in all we do and say.  Bright eyes and many daœ (yes) in response to questions about what they remember from yesterday.  One little girl nearly 4 years old enjoyed the craft of the day. She happily drew flowers on her sun visor and asked me to help glue some foam shapes where she had already made outlines.  So much potential in the little ones, so little directions in their lives.  Pray for the children of Romania. Jesus is their hope and future."
