Saturday 12 August: This was a day of collecting our minds and
bodies. We spent the first part of the day at the Village of Villages. Our
next stop was the zoo. It is about the size of the Point of Defiance Zoo,
and have seagulls in an exhibit which seems odd to a person coming from the Puget
Sound region. Dan Cristea with his family escorted us on the tour and we
took them to the Golden Blitz Restaurant for lunch. The bill came to
$1,236,000.00 Lei. Sounds expensive for 10 huh. In American it is $57.00
roughly. After lunch we returned to the center to relax the rest of the day
playing in the Golf (cards) tournament. After 18 holes we called it a night. Sunday 13 August: At 9 this morning we set out for services at Gaesin. We arrived and the church had standing room only. Once inside we were greeted with a loud HELLO. What a reception from this small village. Rob Kazee delivered the message and also dedicated Anni Paraschiv's baby girl. Again a lot of tearful goodbyes. Now all focus is on packing the luggage for our early morning departure leaving the many new Christian friends we have made. PTL |
