Sent: Wednesday, July 25, 2001 11:54 AM Today personal schedules and the ministry schedules seemed to finally mesh. It took a couple of days for people to figure out the routine of 12 people getting ready in the morning. Tasha is staying at Viilor House where she will live while here for the next year. The hospital ministry had the Wednesday version of its bi-weekly feeding program. In addition there was therapy and care giving. Children's VBS had 20 attendees in the morning where they learned about loving each other as Jesus loves us. The kids did a "friends book" which they decorated and then signed by the other children and the teachers. Basketball had two sessions, although the evening edition has been restricted by the caretaker to basketball only. With a handful of balls and a lot of people, its takes some creativity and sharing to make things work. In the mornings we still use frisbees, nerf balls and Whiffle balls and bats.
Today was the first day of Youth VBS directed by Christina Iona and assisted by Tasha. The teems played games, sang songs and heard Leanne present the Gospel. It was a fun time that also allowed the youth to hear about God's love and His plan for them. Later in the afternoon Brian, Tasha and Pastor Daniel bought 30 Bibles to give to the youth on Friday.

We are called by Christ to be living proof of his love to make Him known in every relationship. |
