Dear Friends,

Well we have found time to write to you all.  We have been here since May 27th and our feet have not hit the ground since we came.  We had a good trip here with plenty of help for Linda in the airports and getting onto the planes.  It was a very long day for us all but we thank God that Andrew Mattison is with us and has been a great help.  David met us and we also had Abe one of the Washington team arrive at the same time and we were able to bring him with us.  Magda’s dad had traveled up with David and we left him to his apartment and then traveled back to Sighisaora.  We did a major shop on the way down and it was good to finally get back to Project House.

Saturday was spent getting the house ready for the team and also cooking meals and putting them into the freezer.  The team of thirteen arrived on Sunday evening.

Monday found us sorting medicines – it was a massive job as we had 120,000 vitamins, worms tablets for 1000 people and in total we had the value of $200,000 in medication.  It took us a full day sorting the different medicines into bags ready for distributing to the patients.  On Tuesday we started our first medical Clinic out in Upper Vanatori.  It was a hot day with many people willing to stand in very hot temperatures waiting to see a doctor.  We had made some changes in our way to deal with the patients and

it was much more efficient.   Wednesday we had two clinics one for the elderly club and in the afternoon for the family centre families and staff.  Thursday we went to Lower Vanatori.  It was great to have the church building to have the clinic in.  On Thursday we had another group of 3 medics join us from North Carolina.  They made a great addition to the team.

The house has been busy with nineteen people staying in the house and lots of others like translators passing through for meals.  Friday we went to Soard.  It was amazing to see so many people watching the Jesus film as they waited to see the medics.  We had a wonderful day of ministry and as on other days we had opportunities to pray with people.  Saturday we did a clinic in Tigmandru.  The team were really excited to see   the development with the greenhouse projects.  Its fantastic to see 3 greenhouses functioning and the vegetables growing so fast.  Ten ladies are meeting for prayer twice a day in the greenhouses.  In the evening the team were speaking at the evening meeting and it was a real joy to again see people responding to the Word of God.

Sunday the team took part in the evening service and Norman preached.

Monday we had a lovely day off taking the team to Bazna spa.  It was a great day and Linda especially appreciated the opportunity to just enjoy the benefit of the spa.  Her leg has greatly improved especially with all these medics here.  She is still using crutches and her right wrist is still giving problems.  We thank God for the willingness of the team to help so much in the house as well as in the clinics.  Today we did our last clinic and this was in Stefan Che Mari.  We were back into tents and as we had a little rain it was quite an experience.  We found many people in need and also seven new families have lost their homes in the Congo area of town and are now living under plastic in the village.  Pray for us as we meet with the mayor to see if we can help these families.  In total we think we may have seen approx 900 patients.  Every patient also received a gospel booklet and we are so thankful to God for the privilege just to see how much these teams helped people with so much love and compassion.

The team was also involved in working out at construction work at Tabitha.

Doing some brick work, fitting the kitchen into Tabitha  and trying to get the building into a house that can be used for summer ministry.  The ladies also helped with a sewing group at the family centre.  Teaching the girls how to use sewing machines and make some shopping bags.  The boys also did a basketball session with the teens from Big Kids Club.  There was also teaching giving in CPR and given help with basic first aid treatments.

It has been an extremely busy but rewarding time.  When we booked for them to leave there was a train strike and they had to leave early.  Our next team of eye specialists arrive on the 18th of June so we have a few days to get different things sorted out and caught up with paper work.  Please continue to pray that God will be glorified in all that we seek to do for His kingdom

Love in Jesus Norman and Linda and Andrew.
