Greeting to the Home Team from Romania! Today we split into 3 groups. One team went into Laslea to the hospital to visit Alena, a young lady who is paralyzed from the waste down who resides at the hospital. The team took her a baby doll that talks. Alena's eyes lit up when the baby doll said "Mama." There was great delight for both the team and Alena. Then the team went on to Tabitha House to begin sorting boxes shipped in from Ireland and furnishing the house. The boxes contained much needed household items for both use at the Tabitha House as well as to give out in family boxes. The team of men spent the day working on Tabitha House building a wall, knocking out a portion of another wall to put a door in, and moving stainless steel counters into the kitchen. They did take a few minutes out of the day to take care of a very sick dog. The medical team spent the day running an elderly clinic for the Elderly Club at the Church of Nazarene here in Sigi. The pace was a little slower, but more complicated as these folks have had some medical care and are on some medications. We had a wonderful opportunity to minister to a mom and young daughter, praying over them and encouraging them in their family relationship, discipline and taking care of physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
The weather remained cooler with a
cloud cover, but no rain. Thank the Lord for cooler weather. Again we
so appreciate all your love, support and prayers. We sure do feel the
strength from the prayers of all the saints at home. |
