Today the entire entourage of 28
people traveled to Tigmandru for our day's ministry
work. The medical clinic/children's activities/feeding
program use the new four-story church building in the
village. 111+ people came through the clinic while a
number of the team conducted hair washing for the
children using shampoo that kills lice. The children
also sang songs, played games and received balloon toys
when they went through the clinic. As a part of the
regular ministry of Project Romania the team members
participated in providing a meal for the children.
Up the road one block the
construction crew poured a concrete floor, installed
insulation and hanged drywall. The project, when
finished, will be an "octaplex" with eight single family
homes that are built as one complex. With the
temperature at about 90 degrees, the work was hot, but
productive.
Saturday may be the most
exciting day of the trip. Kara Olsen will be traveling
with her parents and brother to meet her birth mother.
Kara was born in Romania and adopted when she was three.
The rest of the team will have a free day, so there will
not be an update until Sunday, when we tell you the
story of Kara's amazing day.
For the most part everyone is
healthy and adapting well to life in a house with 23
people. Thank you for your continued prayers and
support.
