This day was a bit
different from the rest. First of all it was Roberta's,
(one of the team members) 21st birthday. We had some fun
singing and celebrating her birthday as the young girls
took her out to pizza for lunch.
The men continued to
work on the 4-plex. We had a small accident and the
Lord kept his protecting hand on the situation. Kennet
and Jeff where on the scaffolding putting up sheet rock
and after Ken screwed in his side he was handing Jeff
the screwgun and at that moment the wood broke beneath
them and they both fell about 10 feet down on hard
cement steps. Kennet scrapped his head and leg. Jeff
took to blunt of the fall as he scraped his sides and
ribs, also his knee. Kennet had a softer landing as he
landed on Jeff. We may not have Jeff work on the houses
anymore but he will still keep helping, he is a tough
guy.
The medical team had a
short day working with seniors at the nearby Nazarene
Church. Then the group got to choose the remainder
of the day themselves. Some went to buy china, but the
store was closed. We asked when it would open, we were
told a standard Romanian answer, they said tomorrow
early 6 or 7 or 8.
Some went to a nearby
Christian basketball camp, however the airport had lost
the basketballs and they did not have any balls. Doc
Smith to the rescue again, he had brought 20 with him
and donated them to the camp, so all was well.
Back to the regular
schedule tomorrow.
See you then....
