Here we are at the last
day of our official ministry. The men team went to and
finished the 3 units they have been working on.
The word is that the
new families will be moving in on Tuesday.
The men are feeling
well. Jeff is a bit sore, but still working hard.
We did get a e-mail
that reports that Brad and Kelsey have made it home.
We are thankful they made it home safely.
We also had a neat
event going on yesterday and today, We had our team
member Penny do sewing classes in Tigmandru, inside the
church building. She had 23 ladies all so excited to
learn. They had 3 machines, one of which was a hand
cranked singer sewing machine. And they keep those
machines buzzing. They completed 34 pillow cases and 9
blanket covers.
The medical team also
had a busy last day in the village Saptenoviembre.
The girls kept the kids
busy with face painting and games. At lunch time we feed
the group of people who were standing outside the tent.
Only a fat slice of bread and strawberry jam, but they
loved it. Leah, David and and if our add on team members
Roberta was able to climb aboard a neighboring horse and
cart. They little boy let her drive it up and down the
street. What a sight.
The Dr. saw
approximately. 110 people on this super hot day. We got
back home and looked at the American thermometer we
brought from home and read it at 119 degrees. Humidity
was recorded at 52.
We are all tried and
hot but at the same time we feel fulfilled with what the
Lord has allowed us to accomplished during our stay.
We also want to let
everyone know we did not forget to write to you, the
internet connection here is very slow and has been down
so we can only use it occasionally.
So in closing we send
our love.
